downtown Singapore, with at least 2 bedrooms and a parking spot, about 100sqm or 1300sqf? Is it usually monthly or yearly lease? Do they usually accept pets? Any smoking restriction? Is utility included? I'm hoping to find something less than USD 5,000... is it possible or hopeless?

Downtown with 2 bedrooms rental is about S$1800 and above. Normally owner prefer a yearly lease. Pets shoudn't be a problem as most apratments are rented out without the owner staying. Smoking is not ban in private place. Normally you have to pay the utility. USD 5000 should be more than enough.

usually area town area apartments cost much more about S$1800 or more for 2 bedrooms. You can choose to have monthly or yearly lease. usually they do not accept pets, but you may ask the owner for permission sometimes they are ok with it as long as its toilet trained. for the rest of the questions you will need to discuss with the owner who is renting the place to you. I do know that USD5000 for monthly lease can get you a decent place in downtown Singapore, cheers

Yesh, you can find one condo in Orchard area (or city area) with about $1300 per apartment per month.
As for telecom bills, water and electricity bills, you need about $150 per month.
$5000 is more then enough... Trust me...
Do find agency to help you find one suitable for you... Look out in the newspaper...
