Hi there, it depends slightly on whether or not you want to pay for the search. As mentioned above, friendsreunited.co.uk is a good start, but not always successful. My best advice is www.192.com It will cost you, but allows you to search not only the uk phone books, but also the current and historical electoral registers. I found it invaluable. If you are in the US, do a search in yahoo.com for "people search" and you will get a lot of sites, most of which charge, but you can get social security numbers and even criminal records....why can't the uk be so simple.... whitepages.com offers a free search - addresses, reverse addresses, phone numbers, reverse phone numbers.
