You know it is horrible. i used to do nursing and saw a good number of people die. some terrible suffering deaths, i don't do it anymore and am so much happier. Of course, we can't deny the reality of death, but that doesn't mean we have to watch it all the time.

Death is a part of our lives. Without Death there would be no Life. Watching someone die, especially if that person is a dear one to you, is a very painful experience; however, pretending not to know what goes on around us, closing our eyes, ears and minds in order not to see, hear or understand what's too painful, is wrong. Because it take us away from reality; reality is there and we must face it no matter how hard doing it can be, we never have to allow our fears to take over, and deceive our awareness, or we'll be just mere puppets in the ends of those who want to control us, and loose our freedom and dignity.

We may think that we are toughened through having seen so many pretend deaths on television... but the fact is that we are not,and it is always a shock however peaceful it may be. When someone is trying their damned best to evade it and fails, it is even more heart wrenching.
The only occasion when it is tolerable is when you have seen a beloved person suffering atrocious pain and you are totally helpless at relieving their suffering. Even so it leaves you choked. Death is so final...

Hello,
No it is not good to watch anybody die, it is heartbreaking, I lost my brother in a hospital late last year, and I asked my Family gathered at his bedside to please excuse me, while I go away and weep for my loss of his wonderful life, for we were very very close, he was 72, and if he had given up the booze years ago, I can't help but think, he would have had years to go, and all I can do now is think about him, and I was assured he died in his sleep, he just didn't have the strength left in him, not to fall asleep, Please God grant him and all those that leave us here, a great and happy peace. I cant think of anything worse. Its one thing that I would not ever enjoy watching. If you are watching something and know someone has died in it i find it so upsetting.

I wouldnt even like to see the saddam video for example coz seeing someone die directly must be awful no matter how nasty he was

It's quite sadistic voluntarily watching someone conk out. But in a world such as this with so much death, I think people have just become numb by it, so they don't mind.

No it's not nice to see someone die. But this can be a lesson to those deciders who started this whole illegitimate war.

its never good to see someone die however, if it is say your mum or best friend its comforting to know they died in peace not in pain.
watching someone get knifed or shot is bad,That happened to my b.friend in London some years ago. i watched him wither die,he was in pain, but he died in peace in the end and although i will never forget that day. i take comfort i was with him at the end and he did not die screaming
