Sly and the Family Stone. Sly tried to play all the instuments but obviously had forgotten how. He was useless and left the stage after 5 minutes and the show was cancelled. We got a refund but after Woodstock it was a major disappointment.

I got dragged to a Level 42 concert by my older sister, who was and still is a massive fan.
Basically I had a spare ticket for an INXS gig the week before - this was in 1990, so they still had Michael Hutchence with them - and she came with me, on the condition that I go with her to see Level 42 the week after. I stupidly agreed and had the worst night out of my entire life! And she had the cheek, on the tube on the way home, to say 'now tell me that INXS are a better live band...'. I nearly choked on my coffee.

The Towers Of London, they were supporting The All-American Rejects.
