If you have a husband then your family is already complete.

This is going to sound nutty but the Chinese Conception Calendar does work, or at least it's worked for me and it's worked out with people that I know. I really wanted a girl and according to the calendar I'd have a girl if I conceived in August, which I did and at my 20 week scan I found out I am having a girl.

Next time I'll try for a boy and have a print out of the calendar on my head board ;o)

Just match up your age with the month and it'll show you what you are either carrying or what you would conceive.

Scientifically it's the sperm that determines the sex of the baby and there's not a lot you can do, there's old wives tales about men having colder baths, women eating more dairy etc but there's no real evidence that they do make a significant difference.

It's so weird but honestly try the calendar, after all if anything it'll just be a bit of fun.

Good luck

i dont know if this works, but i read it somewhere and I also intend to try it soon. I also have a girl and will like to have a boy next:

If you have intercourse closer to your ovulation date, then you are more likely to have a boy because boy sperms swim faster, but they die quicker than girl sperm.. girl sperm are slower, but live longer

so say you'll ovulate on the 10th, refrain from having sex from the 4th or 5th, and then have sex frequently from the 10th to the 12th or there about..this will ensure that there are no girl sperm waiting at the door for when your egg is released. So, when the egg is released on the 10th, and you have sex, then the boy sperms will outrun the girl sperm and win the prize!!

Hope it helps. I hear its about 95% accurate. You might need to have an ovulation detector to be sure of the exact time of ovulation..

Let me know if it works..

if you are really desperate for a boy, why don't you talk to your gynae about doing a sperm wash and implanting boy sperm into your egg?

There are more girls on my side of the family and more girls on my partners side of the family but I really wanted a boy so I just kept telling myself I was having a boy and it worked. Do a google on methods, I have heard certain foods can assist with a preference.

Risk? I think you have probably upset a few people regarding this. I think risk is maybe the wrong word. Many people including myself would be glad of any child regardless of the gender.

Hi there

I have read loads of different diets and time tables that are are supposed to increase the chances of what sex you would like but in the end its just down to nature and lady luck!

As long as your child is healthy that's all that matters

Good luck

"Risk" huh?? thats a lousy attitude. I noticed it took you 2 days to come back and write your disclaimer. I was going to say: why dont you adopt? but after much thought, ive decided that for the child, that wouldnt be any good at all. pity the little girl you have now. Have a beer and call it a day, sweetie. Geeeeez!~!

im sorry, but that is really an f'd up thing to say!!! i suggest you not try to have another if you dont want to "risk" having one sex over the other!!! you should love what has been given to you. if you did have another girl, would you love it less because she wasnt a boy?

There are all sorts of theories, but then they're all 50% accurate.

It's always a 50-50 chance.
