Jennifer Hudson was mind blowing but slightly embarrassing when she did her famous desperate number. Anika Noni Rose was overqualfied for such a small role, same with Danny Glover. Eddie Murphy brightened up the show as much as Hudson. Jamie Foxx was slick but dull during the end.
Beyonce essentially had only two expressions: excited or dissapointed. Most of her acting was based on memories with her past, like dealing with rejection or firing members of her group. Her acting was rather bland though she was brave when she got told her voice had no personality.
Eddie Murphy was truly brilliant behind the microphone!! Boy that guy can act cray-zee! Good but like the film sometimes he isn't so energizing at times.
Overall great but could've been better in many parts.

I was really and I liked it since the story was not compromised. The pretty girl, though less talented, leads the band. Beyonce looses, at least to an extent character wise, her base there when Jennifer Hudson, the gifted but not glamorous, persists not to lie low.
Nonetheless, Beyonce does a pretty good job with acting.
