My ex and I were divorced 7 years ago. We were given joint custody, but he was not allowed visitation until he completed the parent clinic class: he didn't attend, but I allowed visitation anyway. This man rarely seen out son and got over 9,000 dollars behind on child support. He lied on me to social services (which I got fixed) and proceeded in court to get full custody of our son. I did not receive the summons and didn't know when court was. So he went and I didn't and he got full custody because I wasn't there. He took my son out of school the same day and put him in school in another town (I live in Ky. and he lives in In.) I went to court immediatley and was given back joint custody, but my son had to stay in that school.1year we fought in court and I took everyone with me; social services, my ex of my other children, his ex who said he raped her, and his ex wife all to no avail. Now he's back with his crazy ex (the one who went to court with me.) They have a abusive relationship.

They both have been in trouble for using drugs and the police has been called on them many times for their bloody altercations and now my son is in the middle of this. He has been with 4 different girls in the last 4 months and has moved each of them in with him and out. Saturday when I took my son to him he was in the yard with his crazy ex and both of them were screaming and kicking the front door to get his girlfriend out of the house (that was his way of apparently breaking up with this girl. The police were called and the old girlfriend got out. She had her daughter in the house when this was going on and his ex had her two children with her and my son was there. What can I do?

My lawyer did suck! I know most of the time this is used for people just to be funny, and that's okay, but please try to give me some real advise, neither of us live in trailer parks- he's a nurse and I go to school (I'm by no means rich, but I'm not poor either.)

File a case in court to disallow your ex-husband from visiting your child and the school must be selected which is the best for education.

Firstly Get a decent lawyer that understand family law.
Call child protection service and make a report citing the events and dates of police intervention. Get then to file an action to have the child removed and returned to your custody forthwith. You may also get your lawyer to have the outstanding support payments made due.
You initial problem was that you created a precedence by allowing him visitation rights without him having completed the requirements of the court . This puts the initial blame squarely on you.

However events recently show him to be incompetent as a parent and in erratic relationships that is detrimental to the childs well being. That is where you need to have your focus of the case centered.

I don't knw what help you want as it seems that this was screwed up initially by you allowing him to visit thus violating a court order!

All you can do now is keep a record and try to get custody changed based on what is going on now! I would also go after him for back child support!
