It's a good card, there are a lot better choices today.
But if you need HDCP , then this is a great card, a lot better than the ATI HDCP offering.

The Geforce 7600GT is a good GPU. The only difference between Asus and other companies that use this GPU in their cards (such as BFG, Evga, etc) is the memory and core speed. For example, Evga's 7600GT has a core speed of 580MHz, while Asus' core speed for their 7600GT is 560MHz. Evga's memory speed is 1500MHz, and Asus' is 1400MHz. This is only a minor difference and will not affect gaming TOO much. You could always overclock it to the same speed and it will do pretty well the same thing. You might want to compare prices for each though, because if they are around the same you may want to go with Evga's card.
Overall it is a good video card - directx 9 compatible, Windows Vista ready, and HDTV ready. Hope this helps you out.
