no its not a slur there are many valid reasons to say yes, especially in terms of Foreign aid and policy.
As of now, Israel get $3 billion a year from the foreign aid account - $1.8 billion in military and $1.2 billion in economic assistance. Unlike most other aid recipients, Israel gets the money as a bloc grant - no strings attached - and receives it in a lump sum thirty days after the passage of each year’s foreign aid bill. Most of the economic assistance goes to pay debts derived from loans Israel took out in the 1970s to build Negev air fields as part of the Camp David pullback from the Sinai. Since 1948 Israel has received well over $55 billion in U.S. economic and military aid.

The United States is the primary source of Israel's far superior arsenal. For more than 30 years, Israel had been the largest recipient of U.S. foreign assistance and since 1985 Jerusalem has received about $3 billion in military and economic aid each year from Washington. U.S. aid accounts for more than 20% of Israel's total defense budget.

Over the past decade, the United States has transferred more than $17 billion in military aid to this country of just under 7 million people.

Israel is one of the United States' largest arms importers. Between 1996 and 2005 (the last year for which full data is available), Israel took delivery of $10.19 billion in U.S. weaponry and military equipment, including more than $8.58 billion through the Foreign Military Sales program, and another $1.61 billion in Direct Commercial Sales

During the Bush administration, from 2001 to 2005, Israel received $10.5 billion in Foreign Military Financing—the Pentagon's biggest military aid program—and $6.3 billion in U.S. arms deliveries. The aid figure is larger than the arms transfer figure because it includes financing for major arms agreements for which the equipment has yet to be fully delivered. The most prominent of these deals is a $4.5 billion sale of 102 Lockheed Martin F-16s to Israel.

Given the billions of dollars of aid it provides to Israel every year and the central role of U.S.-supplied weaponry in the Israeli arsenal, the United States has considerable leverage that it could use to promote a cease fire in the current conflict between Israel and Hezbollah before more Israeli and Lebanese civilians are killed and displaced. President Bush needs to go beyond vague calls for “restraint” to demands for a cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah, bringing in other key actors in the region, including Iran and Syria.

No, the Jews do not run America. While it may not be considered a "slur" to ask, it is repeating an old rumor that has never been proven true and never will. If Jews ran America, our country would not have turned away an ocean-liner full of Holocaust survivors in the 1940's.

Not exactly Jews, but Zionists. Not all Zionists are Jews, and not all Jews are Zionists.

Its not that they control America like in a command and control structure, they have influence which causes bais. Especially in the media.

Considering the US media, have you ever heard of a story when thousands of Israelis and Palestinians peacefully marched in Jerusalem and demanded peace? I doubt whether they ever report that.

You should look into media tycoons such as Rupert Murdoch. His views are pro Israeli and anti Muslim. That's why we see most of the media content the way it is. The guy even owns Fox News. Those guys have practically declared war on Iran. LOL.

Israel gets more US aid than the entire world combined.

It's not a slur to ask unless you use a derogatory term for Jews. They don't run America. Right now plutocrats who pride Christian values (that most don't follow) run the country.

America is like a patchwork quilt. All the different patterns and patches represent a broad range of races, cultures, creeds, preferences, and other social choices. The Jewish people have made major contributions in our society--from physics, medicine, politics, education, & philosophy, and all areas. We don't have to fear one group or culture engaging in lives to make things better for us. We don't find differences as being threatening to the welfare of our country. We welcome it. Our quilt keeps us warm on cold days, is nice to look at, and has one quality most other nations don't have. It's sewn together with conviction & strength. Our patches represent refugees and immigrants from every nation on earth--and we are proud of it.
