Just answer his question why are you dumping me??? just say I'm fed up with you criticizing me and you don't know how to appreciate me. Just tell him. If he loves you he'll let you go. he is a parasite already he doesn't love you. He wants you to feel that you're a second grade citizen instead of bringing out the best in you.

Be honest. Tell him that this relationship is not healthy for you.
You are lucky that you only wasted 2 years on the relationship. Get out now. Find yourself a guy who loves and respects you for who you are.
This will also allow your bf to find someone that he can respect and not criticise.

Dump him and just let it be. Don't play little games with the jerk. Just break it off with him, and if he calls don't answer. Just get rid of him. There are plenty of guys out there.

When he asks, tell him that you don't feel appreciated, and that it hurts you when he criticizes you. Hopefully you've explained that already. If it's true that he's always acted this way, then you can hardly feel very happy. I'd move on.
