My son was doing this at 10 months, and my health visitor said that this was fine as he was getting enough calcium in his diet. Things like veg (green) and even tinned salmon are also good sources of calcium. I think a full size yogurt is about the equivalent of a quarter a pint of milk. I also mix in whole milk in my sons breakfast, and I make up meals like cauliflower cheese and add milk.

At 10 months old you can be giving your baby a fairly healthy balanced diet - if that is so, not much milk shouldnt be too much of a problem.
Have you thought about making up things like weatabix with baby milk? You could perhaps get her to have 2-3 extra oz that way. Or mashed potato with formula milk on? I used to pour the milk over most meals to make them 'mushier' for a baby - you can sneak milk into lots of meals instead of just giving it in a bottle. Would she prefer trying to use a training cup instead of a bottle maybe?
If you are concerned please please check with your gp or health visitor - but most health officials arent concerned unless a child is actually losing weight. Alot of babies and children go through phases with nutrition. You may find in afew weeks she is guzzling 3 times as much milk!
Hope this helps xx

Some babies wean themselves earlier than others. As long as you are making sure that she is eating enough quality food, she should be fine. Is she ready for a sippee cup? You can always put her breastmilk/formula in a sippee cup. She can start having whole milk at 12 months (never before 12 months, or she could develop milk allergies). I hope this helps. You can contact your local WIC office for advice.

As reported earlier. as long as there is not any longer a history of hypersensitive reaction there is not any reason they might't have milk containing products. What you've gotten heard is that babys are not meant to have milk somewhat of formulation at this age, because it purely isn't as stable for them, lacks most of the supplementations and minerals and different stable stuff this is risk-free in formulation/breastmilk. whilst uncertain ask the father and mom. stable success.

a lot of babies dramatiaclly decrease their intake of milk once they are weaned - don't worry! as long as she is getting a balanced diet, is eating dairy products and has other fluids then she'll be fine. at 10 months approximately one pint of milk a day (give or take a little) is the recommended amount. if you are really concerned talk to your health visitor but i really don't think you have anything to worry about.

She doesn't need much milk at that age and may just hate the taste of it. It's important that she does get fluid though from pure juices and water. My sister was just the same and has grown up not liking milk. She's in her fifties now and still doesn't have milk.

as long as she`s not losing weight she will be fine,my son is 18 mths old now,and he would never have a lot of milk 4oz max you should be glad as she seems to be a really good eater.i think we worry our selves to much with what the health visitor or books tell us is supposedly right.i can`t get my son to eat cheese or red meat,so don`t worry be happy:-)

My daughter had the same problem but she was on formula as I was unable to breastfeed and I was worried sick, I kept going to the health visitor and she kept telling me to persevere with the formula, but when she was 8 months old I went to see the doctor and he told me to put her on full cream milk and I have never looked back.
