If by "growing physically bigger" you mean height, then there could be a few reasons why your child may be shorter than others. Genetics will play a major role in this area or it could be a medical condition. Generally speaking, the human body continues to grow until we reach our early 20's. Of course it goes without saying that each and every person is individual and there are many factors that play a role in the outcome of one's body.
I went to school with a boy who was extremely short, literally the size of a dwarf or midget. He began to see a doctor and received growth hormones to help him grow and after a year or two of treatment, went on to reach about 5'5" (167cm/1.67m). He of course, has a medical condition that prevented him from growing and needed outside help by a trained professional. Mind you this was nearly 10 years ago, and I'm quite certain that in the last 10 years, more medical breakthroughs have occurred and will give your child even more of a chance to live a happy and healthy life.
You did not specify the exact age of your child, but I think it's also key to talk openly with your child about the situation. There are some people who actually enjoy being short. In the end, if the height issue is not actually causing harm to your child's body, see how your child feels. After all, you could possibly be worried about something that doesn't need to be worried about.
Seek a doctor's opinion about your child's growth, it's the only real way of finding out for sure whether there is indeed an underlying medical problem that needs to be addressed.
I wish you and your child the best of luck.

My Nick-name at school was lurch.
If you are concerned at this time you should go see your Family doc and have him recommend a specialist ,
there are many ways if you do it properly that a early teen could get his metabolism and Hormones working again, but just wait a while you aren't finished growing yet , with proper supervised attention you could gain a substantial amount of height but be careful messing with mother nature can cost you your life.
and tall just isn't a big deal. it is to a younger man that wants to impress others like Chic's and such.
I have another problem I'm 17 years too tall 6-'6" 134-lbs
I'll trade you.

Try feeding their ego or self concept with poitive comments.
Genetics are the controlers of growth height and there is no way to manipulate them.
Point out all the famous who have been small of stature, leaving out Napoleon and Hitler of course!
Catherine the Great (4'9) Cleopatra (4' 6') Marie Antoinette ( 5'2")
Madame Curie ( 5'1") Florence Nightingale ( 5'2") Bethoven (5'3")
Franz List( 5'5")
More recent:
Danny de Vito, Tom Cruise, Nelly Furtado, Brian Boytano ( ice skater) and lot lots more in ballet, dancing, Music
Many tall men prefer small petite women. Smaller women get asked out on dates more than tall women as they often intimidate men. So being small has some advantages in love

There is no way. It's genetic. Nutritious food in appropriate supply will help a little bit, but not much.

If the kid puts on ankle weights while playing basketball, it could help him gain a few inches that he otherwise might not have gained.
