Of course not - its a free country. It's not been illegal since the 1950's/60's.

There is legal abortion. However it is not conducted without investigation into the alternatives. Termination is not done on demand. Psyche evaluations are carried out as well as physical well being assessed. The seeker of the abortion has to present a good case for termination.
Variences to these are underage pregnancies of minors where physical damage would result or Mental incompetence pregnancies. Any woman who is suicidal and is a risk to heself and the expected child may receive an abortion after interview and assessment of facts regarding her mental state.

I know of no drive through abortion clinics in Australia

After the first 3 months of the pregnancy it is not really possible as the baby is fully formed. However if the mother will die as a result of the pregnancy or the baby has died then they will terminate after 3 months but my understanding is that the mother has to go through full labour in this circumstance.
Prior to 3 months it is possible to obtain a termination however you are interviewed and closely counselled about your choice - I understand you have to be able to communicate that genuine economic/psychological hardship which will effect your parenting ability as part of the reason for your choice. You are also counselled regarding the inappropriateness of termination as a form of birth control and some form of birth control may even be prescribed.
It is not an easy or enjoyable choice that women make.

it was legalised in some states 1969 and the rest followed in the years after, which is a good thing- the amount of deaths from home done abortions and things like that dropped straight away, if a woman wants one she will get one no matter what.

also I think its harder to get an abortion in the US- they are trying to outlaw it in georgia (i might be wrong but i know its one of the states),a lso harder to get the morning after pill too

No, it's very legal here!

Australia is a developed country and we are not too far behind the states.

Thanks
