On Jan 17th, 2007, my dr confirmed that I was 9wks and 5days pregnant which is 7wks and 5days from my date of conception, which calculates to be on Nov 24th, 2006. My due date is Aug 17th, 2007. According to my last menstrual period (which is just a guesstimate), my ovulation days were between Nov 19th and Nov 25th, 2006. I had an affair on Nov 28th, 2006. We used a condom, however the conception dates are just too close for comfort. Do you think that there is a possibility that the other man may have fathered my unborn child?

boy oh boy...I feel for you. Same thing happened to me/us...(I am no longer with my husband)...There was only 2 days between sex with my husband and sex with a stranger....I kept this secret until I was about 5 months pregnant and it almost destroyed me as a person - to a point that I almost terminated. The guilt just ate away at me but then I was told by the man I had the affair with that he had had a vascetomy only 13 months before that - but it was already too late and I had told my husband and family what I had done. Up until my son was born I wondered if the other man had told me a lie and he wouldn't prove to me medically he had had the procedure done....(may he rot in hell)..I sometimes wish I had said nothing. I felt by putting it out there to everyone was worse. But I don't know your situation my dear....I don't know what your life is like at home with your partner or this other man....even to this day I look at my son and wonder what might have been..he looks a bit like my ex-husband but I wonder is that because I want him to be like him....so yes..there is a possibility you definately COULD be carrying this other man's child. Be strong. You are in for a rough journey with this. Its amazing how many women go thru this and never say a word. Good luck to you. I really wish you luck.

Your egg is only good for 24 hours. Meaning, it takes almost that long for sperm to get to the egg, so really, you would have had to have sex no later than November 23-24. 24 hours after that, the egg just dies. So, your affair happened at least 3 days too late. I wouldn't even give it a second thought. Even so, it might be worth keeping that a secret, if perhaps you ovulated a little later than suspected, but that depends on if you want the other man to be the father.

There is a slight possiablty that the guy you had an affair with could be your baby's father I would tell the guy you are involved with as soon as possaible that their is a slight chance that he might not be the baby's daddy. Good luck and get a dna test as soon as possiable after the baby is born.

Maybe yes. For what I know, sperms are alive sometimes up to 5 days inside the female reproductive organ.

Clearly, it is possible. I gather you are married; unless there is some obvious reason why your husband would thing the child is not his (a different race, for instance), it's best to simply let nature take its course. Your only other option is to abort the pregnancy, which of course is your choice to make.

It's way to close. The best thing to do is wait and get a DNA test done.

um... try a paternity test when the baby is born... other than that you shouldn't have been having an affair...
