I am sorry to inform you Whlydg, that you would be hard pressed to find another nation that despises Americans more, collectively, than the Australians do. Maybe New Zealand comes in a close second next to Iran.

To the asker: You can find all sorts of articles citing that few Americans hold passports but the authors never cite their sources or make the figure relative to any other country.

The truth is Americans do not need to leave their borders to find what they want. The USA has every type of geographical, environmental and demographic feature found anywhere in the world. One example, why on Earth would an American go to Switzerland to ski when the best skiing in The US. To be ripped off by expensive and crowded conditions?

Americans have a good life in the USA. When you are in a situation with great conditions you stay put. This facilitates the immigration problem, of which English, Irish, and other Europeans are still part of.
