the erro message comes on when i go into my account when i try to uninstal from add remove programes it says it is running but when i go into the firewall to turn of it wont open

You can't uninstall a program while its running (or while Windows thinks its running!). If turning it off with the Task MAnager doesn't work - it can be difficult to identify the components from the gobbledygook names on the list - use Winpatrol to stop it. It lists the items as programs so you can see what you're fiddling with.
Then use Ccleaner to uninstall it, then use the Issues tool and the Cleaner.

As a last resort use Winpatrol to stop it loading on startup, reboot in Safe Mode and uninstall from there.

Use the Alt+Ctrl+Delete and use Task Manager to stop the task.
Then go to Start>Control Panel>Add / remove programs
Look for system mechanic and uninstall it.

I suspect the reason is that the programme is actually in " use " as it probably is set to start when windows commences ....does the programme show a small icon in the sytem tray ? if so right click on it normally gives an option to either exit or turn it off ....then try add/remove in the control panel to remove it ...
