No no no. Love is far more powerful than fear. If you've ever loved a child, you know that there is nothing you wouldn't face for that child, no matter how terrifying. Anger, I suppose, is stronger than love. If it weren't so, there'd be no crimes of passion, now would there? "I loved her so much, I just had to kill her." Yeah, ok.

Hate, though... Hate is the emotion that rules all. Hate can eclipse any other emotion. Hate is the engine of wars, it is the driving force of revolutions... Hate is the only emotion that can change the world. Love is narrow in it's scope, anger too brief, jealousy is too petty... But hate! Hate kills by the thousands and destroys all that it doesn't kill.

Don't get me wrong, if we could love as deeply as we hate, things would be far different... But we do not.

Edit: Beyond that, perhaps the power that we give to hate is due to the fact that hate is not the opposite of love, but is the distortion of love. You can't hate without loving first. Without having first loved, you can only have apathy.

See if power is considered, it is love that is most powerful. Even fear and anger fade or melt away, if a loving person is around to care and reassure.
Anger works only when others are too weak. A peaceful calm and loving person simply absorbs the the most powerful anger of other person.

Most intense would indeed be rage, but the most powerful and heaviest would be love. Love is the slow grind winner. Given enough time, it can completely take over a person and drive them to the point where they would be willing to die for someone else.

Nothing is more powerful than love.

If someone feels fear & rage it is only a reaction to not having love in their lives.

We can not live without love. Begin by loving yourself. If you love yourself you can love others, love life, etc. If you hate yourself you will be afraid, miserable, angry & you will hate others & hate life & want to destroy things.

Love is the most powerful intense emotion. But you have to be open to it. It is so scary to some people that they would rather live a miserable angry hateful life than risk being vulnerable & opening their hearts to love...

Love is more powerful that either one of them. Without love you have nothing, without love you are dead, without love there is no reason for life.
Hatred destroys. Love builds. Anger is a product of hatred, it will only hurt. Love does not hurt, it heals hurts. Fear is the basis of hatred, all hatreds are born out of fear, Love has no fear.
The strongest you will ever know is Love. There is no strength greater than that.

I agree that fear is the most powerful emotion. People wait in line to see horror movies that's for sure.
But I think anger is the most dangerous.

I started to agree and then concluded that the love for ones child would overcome fear of ones self and/or anger. Ergo, love.

Rage. It's beyond anger. It turns you into a non-cortical animal that disregards consequence. It has neither strategy nor plan. It serves only to fulfill itself. That's why it is so dangerous.
