The event is closed to college student only. Besides basic marketing, what can I do to attract those new students (too soon for careers)

My organization runs under limited sponsorship and i'm looking forward for effective budget publicity.

Isn't money on the students mind many times?
Present a report or statistics about the salaries that different jobs / careers can give them in the future.

why not offer a special careers protfolio, or an extra indepth student information night or something, and have it like an ebay auction, but instead of money, have the winner being the person who can sign up the most number of people to come along.
that way, more people know about the event, and more will come along, if the winner has to be there on the day to claim their prize.
