People congratulate this guy on the news like he created the cure for AIDS or won the Nobel prize. He carried a ball and ran around with it, people. It is not a superhuman feat.

In case you didn't know football is a sport which is entertainment for millions of people. Just like movies are entertainment and singers are entertainers. They all get oscars and grammys and they haven't cured AIDS either.

You really shouldn't take life so seriously!!

If you can manage to get past the physical part of NFL football you will see that Peyton Manning is one player that doesn't whine, complain, is a team player, and doesn't have the need to dance and slam the ball after he completes a scoring play. You don't ever hear him talking trash or getting arrested for acting like a simpleton at some night club. He showed up to console the victims of Katrina and actually donated funds of his own to get those people back on their feet.

Now if you want to add that to the thousands of yards he has passed for and the 50 touchdown passes in a past year, that might be a tip as to why he is given the respect he deserves.

I was thinking if you actually believe being a NFL quarterback is just carrying the football around with you, maybe you should sign up for one of those field goal kicking contests at half time and we'll see how you perform.

Because only he can throw more interceptions than touchdowns and look like a saint. Everytime he claps his hands and shakes his head after a bad throw he is curing cancer in some young child. Now if only the Giants had the common sense to trade his hick brother Eli to the Colts for a Gatorade jug and a bag of footballs the two brothers can be reunited and share beds like they did until Peyton went away to school.

Go ahead and do what he did then. What's a bigger waste of time? Playing in the NFL or ranting on the internet about people not curing AIDS.

Would you be able to do that? Neither would Einstein or Edison. Manning wouldn't be able to win a Nobel prize but he can win a Super Bowl. Maybe more. Who knows what he can do that almost everyone else cannot.

It happened when Brady won with the Pats. Farve walks on water no matter how bad a season he has. It's all hype. It'll die down in a week or two.

I have often wondered this myself. I seriously think that daddy has a little hand in keeping his name in the press.

I was even more upset when he won the MVP, I mean look at these stats...

25/38, 247 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT

These are NOT MVP stats. Totally sickening.
