american or other race actors as long as not filipinos will become a hit in the philippines because when people watch they will focus more on the "story" rather than the actors that they don't know. on philippine sitcoms and soap operas people tend to focus on the actors because they know them.

I think it is the culture of most Filipinos that everything imported is good, plus the fact that Filipinos like foreign things which they seldom see and when they like it they will imitate it.
