Hey, no cutting in line! The government promised us some arrable land first. You have to wait your turn.

I guess that means you're 150 years old, huh? Since you were never a slave, then you have a lot of nerve trying to get reparations for something that was never done to you. For all we know, your parents could have immigrated here 25 years ago. On top of that, if you really are the descendant of slaves, you are probably also the descendant of slave masters (a common occurrence back then) which means you're probably white too (the "one drop rule" is rubbish). Therefore, I think you should go ahead and give yourself that 40 acres and a mule that you owe yourself.

Acres as in a measure of the area of a piece of land, or Acers, as in computers?

It was not the government, it was one Civil War General and he had no authority to make that claim.
After you total the low cost housing, free meals, AFDC, free health-care, welfare, collage aid programs, Affirmative Action, and every "Great Society Program since Johnson" I doubt we there is anything left that we "OWE " you. Why don't you try and make it on your own. Seems like a lot has been expended to make things equal. When are people going to quit sitting on their *** and realize the dream? When are all the hand outs going to be enough? I think the more that is handed out the more that is expected to be free and there is no incentive to make things better. There is no incentive to make something of yourself.
You should look to the two Superbowl coaches who have made it instead of looking for another handout.

Yes they did but once they imposed taxes and set limits on where the property is and that it was not zoned for farming the bottom line is you had to give it back to the government and you still owe them until you die and it is the your family still has to pay.
