Short answer is yes. Hormone levels can fluctuate depending on your mood. It isnt common but in some people if you are stressed enough or lacking sleep the hormone levels that control your menstrual cycle can delay your period. It is most probably due to other reasons though - remember very few people have cycles that are like clockwork. Make sure you arent pregnant. Hope that helps

Yes, I was really stressed out from work a few months ago and I was sleeping all the time and missed my period for two months. I went to the doctor and they gave me a pregnancy test that came back negative so they said it was stress.... I ended up finding out a month later that I actually had been pregnant though

yes I used to have this problem all the time. When you stress out to much it will slow your system down causing menstration to cease for a little while

Definately! This has happened a few times to me! Also I went to the doctors once because my period was late and he said that stress had caused it. So there you have it...straight from the doctors mouth! I am also a nurse and I know that women can get their period late from emotional or physical stress on their body. However, stress is not always the reason (pregnancy being one of the obvious).

I also have the same problem right now. But as far as what I have researched, yes.. stress can be a factor for delay of menstruation.

I was on the pill and had no period for 3 months. The doctors ran every test avaliable and said that it was stress that was making me lose my period.

yes, extreme stress can actually make you skip a month even but just to be safe you should still get a pregnancy test.
