How can i transfter data from one computer to another without using hub and switch?

hi...
i have a pc and laptop....both have in-built lan card....
i have to transter data from laptop to pc without using hub and switch...
can i do that??
what r the steps to do...

Dear Friend

its very easy to transfer a file to another pc without using hum and switch.

first take one floppy
insert that floppy
copy that file in to the floppy
take that floppy
and insert that floppy in another system
and open that floppy

its very easy friend.
