I think the license plate on his car was NCC-1701! I dunno if I was imagining it, but I think they actually did it on purpose since he is more famously known as Sulu on Star Trek. (NCC-1701 is the registry no. of the Starship Enterprise)

You are 100% correct. I noticed it too lastnight but didn't think anything about it till you mentioned it. What a cool reference to Star Trek that was but very subtle. I swear you have to watch what's said and things around the show or you'll miss something really important. (That would be a case in fact)..............

it should have been ncc 2000 for the Excelsior
