Looking for a good web cam. the one i have now is very choppy and is slow.

Most webcams offer decent qulaity if you use them Offline and when you connect them online they become very choppy and slow. The reason being the available bandwidth being low.
So first check the webcam quality offline. If you are using windows xp you can go to start > settings > control panel > camers and double click to open the camers in offline mode.
If your not satisfied by your cam quality offline you can buy cams from Logitech or Microsoft which offer very good quality but at a price.
If your ok with qulaity offline then get a better internet connection.
Webcam quality also depends on the messenger you are using. Till now i have found that eyeball.com has the best webcam quality. try it.
