DVD's can only burn as fast as either:
A) your DVD drive
and
B) the speed of the DVD's

check out the speed of your DVD drive and on the DVD's if your DVD burner can go faster than get a higher speed of DVD...

hope this helps, an in thanks be sure to visit:: http://4einc.info

The long 7 hour process will occur when u're burning movies with the .avi entension or such, and its needs to be translated into an MPEG format through the process called ''transcoding''. Transcoding is where the software needs to capture every frame, pixel and sound bit to change it into an appropriate format that can be played universally with any standard DVD player.

In today's most DVD writers and media, a typical straight forward
data burning would not take more than 15 minutes. As for burning movies through transcoding method, I guess that there are nothing much you can do as this really lies into your computer's processing speed, but it varies only a little.

I've tried with three or four DVD burning software but the result is the same. When burning a movie, it usually takes me more than 5 hours.

Hope that helps!!
