There are lakhs of VRS retired people in India, who are educated, talented. In view of their age being above 50 much opportunities are not there. Are there any opportunity to further study, work, be productive and useful to the self, family, country , humanity. The employment for these people should not hinder the opportunities of younger generation. Social work opportuniites too can be a good option.

All those, who opted for VRS, must have had a plan in their mind, before taking a decision about the retirement. I know many are engaged as consultants in other private cos, agencies etc. Some doing a free lance , as consultants. Some are practising law. Some do social work and religious ministry. Those, who are not confident in doing any other work, should not go in for VRS.

If all those bankers come together and start educating people about all matters financial, it will be hugh addition to the entire knowledge bank in India. Ultimately everything comes to money sooner or later and unfortunately indians (majority) do not know how to handle money.

But actually there are not many openings for these VRS bankers though they are qualified, still young (relatively) but experienced in money matters. This is actually a sad situation. India is wasting a lot of resource pool in a totally unproductive way.

But in case bankers are inclined to learn and undergo some training , they should try getting into "stocks investments". Lots of people have started investing in shares. All these investors need lots of authentic information as well as all share related services. The markets are booming for a couple of years now and more and more investors have started coming in. This is one field where experience pays.

Ofcourse, apart from this, bankers can cultivate their hobbies and try converting the expertise in business venture.
