OK so chances are you have audio but no video if thats the case then goto:
http://filehippo.com
and under the audio and video selection choose "More"
then download the all in one codec pack, install it.. reboot
then try the video again cause it should work...

the chances are that it is divx or Xvid codec that you need. but to be sure download g-spot http://www.headbands.com/gspot/v26x/index.html, it will tell what codec you need. Then type that into google and download it

use klite codec pack to view any file
Use virtual lan (VLAN) media player
lets u play anything
