I'm a pre-op transsexual, but my license says female. I've been living as a female for almost 11 years. I went fulltime when i was 14 and when i was 16 went for my permit and they put female on it. I was born in indiana and they don't have sex on the birth certificate. So i've been with my boyfriend for 2 years. He wants to go to vegas and get married. Technically i could because all vegas needs is a valid ID . and mine says female. I love my boyfriend more than you could know and i want to marry him. but my question is should i risk it ? legally it is fraud .i might be fine. it's not like they are going to look under my dress. but fraud is a federal offence i could go to prison. But david's the one for me and i want to get married , what should i do ?

People get changes and 'convert', but I'm not aware it's illegal. Maybe 'post-op' it's legal, as a Doctor can prove it based on the results of the operation. Does your bf know? If so, and he's not going any place, look farther into the legalities 1st. You can find it online prettty quickly, I'm sure.
I'd wish you luck, but you don't need it when you have the one you want. Just be you and do what your insides tell you.

I think you should go for it. If your ID says female theres nothing they can do, they must give you your marriage license, and if they look under your dress they are commiting a worse crime!
