Shes supposed to be a role model for yourn women everywhere so for her to break the law and the rules of the pagent then she should not be allowed to have a second chance. According to the radio Trumps excuse for her behavior was that shes a small town kentucy girl who got caught up in the New York lifestyle. There are hundreds of people in New York who have come from small town backgrounds and not had the same "personal issues" that she is having. If you do the crime you should pay the fine, which in her case should have been pulling her title. There was another instance a couple of years ago (2002) where the Mrs Universe winner Mrs Russia was stripped of her title for not showing at photo shoots. So does this mean that a photograph of a winner is more grounds of dethroning then underage drinking and drug use? This shows to the next generation of the pagent contestants that with the right sorrowful look, a few tears, and blaming your background could get you out of anything.

I think she should have stepped down on her own, and done her recovery in private. Recovering from alcohol and drug abuse is hard enough without being in the limelight. Seeing her in various interviews is embarrassing. After 30 days in rehab she thinks she knows it all. She was using cocaine before she became Miss USA. At first I thought it was good she got a second chance but now I have changed my mind. I think the whole thing is sickening.

every one deserves second chance no matter what, we learn our lifes lesson from making mistakes (not stupidities) and if we as a society cant accept that then society will fall apart with things like more rebbelionisms. If people dont have a second chance how can we expect them to see hope for the future... the fact that she then later on even further condemned herself by explaining other things she'd done shoes already she has realised the impact of her actions and want to change

I don't think she deserved her second chance at all- but I also don't think it's Rosie O'Donnell's place to trash Donald Trump because he gave her the second chance.....

Yes, the pageant may be a tradition, and values may be held in high esteem, but, being a human being is a tradition that long outdates any beauty contest.

No.. just because of the title she upholds. she is suppose to be a role model for young girls. so she needs to uphold that role model title.. i understand that people make mistake and that we are all human...but she knew what she was getting into when she became Miss USA, she's suppose to be a role model, so be a role model.

I don't think theres any guarantee that the runner up won't have any 'problems' or naked pictures or something. I think firing her would have been perfectly reasonable, but it's not wrong or bad thing they didn't. Now she can go around talking about alcohol abuse or whatever.
