Understand and adapt to each others' lifestyle/customs/traditions. Be open about your differences (eg:social norms) and learn to compromise.

All the best!

You may find that cultural differences cause misunderstandings without your realizing it. That can turn out to be something to laugh about later or it can make things harder if you don't discover that the cultural difference was the source of the misunderstanding, and instead one of you just thinks the other was being a jerk. It might be helpful if each of you finds a friend in the other's culture to serve as sort of a neutral cultural "translator."

Kind of along the same lines, partners from different cultures may need to explain what they're thinking and why they said or did certain things in conflict situation more than same-culture couples in order to prevent simple disagreements from turning into more heated arguments.

You know what hun, as long as you are happy, he is happy... then it should not matter what people think or say. Sometimes it may feel like you spend more time defending your relationship then actually having one... but you don't even need to defend it, you don't have to ever. There is no rule, there is no law against it either. If your different races bother each other, which im assuming it doesn't... try sitting down with pen and paper ask each other what bothers the other what they like and don't like stuff like that. You will learn a lot and its a fun way to communicate. Of course the only way you will know each others boundaries is through time and patience.. Good luck. :)
