There are whole websites devoted to insomnia. Google insomnia and they will come up. There are many reasons for insomnia and you haven't given me any info. on why you may be having this trouble sleeping. These sites will go into lots of suggestions for you, just be wary of buying their books or products. If you are having more than an occasional problem then you should see your doctor and rule out medial problems, like sleep apnea (which is where a person stops breathing temporarily, over and over all night). If there is no physical problem then you can learn about all the self-help methods to cure your insomnia. I just don't want to give you info. like I think I know exactly what you need. If its just plain insomnia you may need to do things like - avoid any daytime sleep, get exercise so you are decently tired, keep bedroom dark and slightly cool, listen to white noise(like a fan) or a sound machine playing rain or something, if your mate snores - wear foam earplugs - they block out the worst but you will still hear your alarm or kids, be sure your bed is decently supporting you. And that's all I can possibly think of to help. Good Luck to you!!!

Eeew warm milk. The thing that usually helps me go to sleep is, take a really hot bath or shower and make sure to get your hair wet. Climb in the bed with the ceiling fan (if you have one) on a medium setting so that you can feel a breeze cooling your hair as the rest of your body both warms itself under the blankets and cools from the water. That usually relaxes me right to sleep. Also, deep breathing exercises where you relax yourself and listen to nothing but the sound of your own breathing.

Have ya tried warming a cup of milk in the micro? I have insomnia also. But I just don't care. That is until it catches up with me tomorow. Plus I don't like warm milk. Remember just milk! No chocolate the sugar will defeat the purpose.

Exercising an hour or so before bedtime and not eating 2hrs before bedtime is generally a good cure. Staring at a computer screen is the worse thing you can do because the bright light will wake you up more.

try heating up some milk in the microwave then drink the warm milk, it helps me when I can't fall asleep. Or you could try reading a book for awhile, that could also help you out.
