Just turn the closed captioning feature of your TV set on.

subtitle is available only in DVD not VCD, but there are still some movies that do not provide subtitle for DVD. Normally, use the remote control as it is either named :subtitle or caption. just chose the desired subtitle available in the DVD and enjoy.

usually remote controls have a shortcut botton. but it depends if ur talkinabout a dvd then just follow the menu. its easy. if its on ur tv it shold say caption and u just choose different ones until the words starts popping up on the screen.
