M. O. P. Vaishnav College For Women - Provides post graduate degree courses in communication, public relations, I.T, business administration and under graduate degree courses in visual communication, electronic media, journalism, computer science, mathematics and sociology.
To cope with the demand for journalism education, the Department of Mass Media & Communication Studies (Formerly Department of Journalism & Communication) and University Industry Community Interaction Centre (UICIC) are jointly offering a six-month part-time diploma programme in print journalism. The course is targeted at college students and professionals such as freelancers, stringers and public relations practitioners.
Classes will be held in the evenings. Academics and professional journalists will handle classes, which will include an intensive hands-on training.

Students will receive training in reporting and writing, editing, editorial design, media management and media laws and ethics.

Not necessarily, There are some missionaries who like you son feel called to Mission work. I know that in the Mormon aspect of christianity that young men are asked to spend 2years after high school or college to serve in the mission field... that Women must be 21 before they are allowed to serve.. and they only serve for 18 months. But if some one is called to Mission service they won't be denied.
