I haven't heard or read that he'll be leaving. Maybe last night's show is just building up suspense for next season. Sort of like when they went to Brazil. I really like him and hope he's not leaving for the big screen.
Update: I just read on the yahoo tv epsiode guide that he is killed. I hope it's just misleading...

According to IMDB, there is a movie up ahead for him ("A Happy Death"), so he might leave the show at least temporarily to film it. I'm still not sure if he's being killed off, if his character lives from his gunshot wound, they'll use the medical leave as the actor's time off

Lord I hope not...and I hate cliffhangers like that! He could be saved - something very similar happened to Bosco on Third Watch, and he was eventually brought back after being in the good ol' coma for a while.

I hope not. I think he's the sexiest one. But, he is also fairly talented (ever seen "Sleeper Cell"?) and might be getting to the point where he can try his wings in feature films. Not bad for a guy who used to be a former stock broker and doesn't have a lot of formal acting training!

I sure hope not. Even though i havent watched that show in a 'hot minute' he's still one of my favorites. But check out E! online to see if you can find something about it.

He is not and will be back along side Horatio and was only seriously wounded and on the verge of death but will survive the shooting.
