What are the different materials I can use instead of a real headband?

well me and my friend got bored of headbands as i think u r so we were thinking of things that we could wear instead. weve now started wearing ties, ribbons from different material shops or from clothes and stuff that we dont need any more and sometimes we cute off from top and tie them but the best is shoe laces in funky colors or with kwl patterns on. also, over here wearing a bow in ur hair is kwl, a bow u should apply it with a grip or something to hold it onto the side of ur head. the rest of the suggestions jus wear them tied round ur head and tie at the back of the head where they dont show. if the fabric is long dont cut it but bring one of the pieces to the front of ur body... i hope you know wot i mean...have fun and hope i helped.

I think it's hard to answer because I really don't know what you are trying to do. Are you just trying to pull your hair back as a headband would? I assume so. Use a ribbon--simply tie at the top of your head then rotate so that the ribbon is behind your hairline. If you want to go with flowers you could purchase silk flowers [they last forever!!] and string them all together. You can use those rubber scrunchies that are big like headbands. Instead of doing something just to pull it back--have you tried cornrows? Those are always fun! If you are just wanting a casual look I'd go with the ribbon. You can also make a hemp band to put around if you go for that hippie look. If you just want to pull your hair back have you tried it half up/half down? I'm sorry if this isn't helpful--it's just hard to figure out what you want! Good Luck!

When I get a gift with a nice ribbon on it, I always save it for my hair. Just tie it in a circular shape so that it will fit your head well. Either cut off the extra ribbon, leave it hanging out the back, or tie it in a cute bow at the top. Some people even use shoelaces. A rolled-up bandana works nicely too. Use pretty much anything that you can tie to fit your head, and you're good.

Try some ribbon, yarn. take some and braid it or tie little knots in it. There are a million different colors and types. Just go to a craft store and look around.

I used to go to a craft store and buy ribbons in different cloth types like velvet ribbon ropes, satin ribbons etc, and just cut them to the appropriate length, and tie it on your hair and hide the knot behind your hair, and it looks great.
