I have set my home page to www.google.com becuase that the site i need most. Google also allows you to customize your home page and when you type www.google.com you get your personalized home page.
I have added my Gmail Account, a Calender, a To Do List, a Stickon's.
I even have my Bookmarks. so which computer i use i have my favorates in one place.
So i can get so much information on one page.
