When my fiance and I were moving I took off my engagement ring and handed it to him to put in his pocket. The boxes we were carrying were pushing it into my finger & it really hurt. Anyway that night when we were going to bed I asked for my ring back and he couldnt find it! My ring, this beautiful 1carot perfect color & clarity diamond with two .5 carot aqua marines(my birth stones) next to it in a past, present & future setting gone! I bawled all night..... not just b/c it was so expensive but, it was the symbol of our love. The ring we desined together after he asked me to be his wife. I felt like I lost something that was destined to be a cherished family heirloom.
For the next year I wore this plain white gold band on my left hand that just kinda turned up while we unpacked. neither one of us had ever seen it before and neither of our families knew anything about it. Then one day while looking for some documents I saw my ring in a box of old papers! My fiance must have dropped it during the move.
Funny thing is as happy as I am to have my ring back i still wear the plain gold band on my right ring finger. I just feel like maybe there is some speacail reason we found it right after the diamond was lost....

Well, I haven't really lost anything worth a lot of money.
But I have lost my glasses. That was horrible. I was in the girls' locker room, took a shower, and just left my glasses there. At the time, I wasn't very dependant on them. But when I went to my computer class and realized what I had lost, it was too late. Somebody must have found them and thrown them away. They were the best pair I ever had, with goldlike rims and nonreflective glass. And although I got a replacement, they're not as good as the old ones, as my insurance doesn't cover any high quality ones. (I got the lost pair cheaper in Vietnam.) So I just have to accept the ones I have now.

I had a van stolen. I got it back, but it was in horrible shape. That was the most expensive thing I ever lost. But I think losing my temper has cost me more over the years than anything else.
I do get it back at times!

I have my grandfather's rings on, they had their rings when they were my age, 21, A Masonic Templar ring, and Black stoned ring from Italy.
Me and my friend were drunk one night, we deicded to go outside and wrestle and beat the crap outa eachother, it was cold out and my hands tend to shrink I guess, and the masoni slipped off and I stopped moving around and didnt move my position, I got a tear going down my eye over men I have never met, he grabbed the flashlight, I'm looking he's looking, he taps me on my shoulder and has arm over my shoulder with my ring in his hand. God, I love his sorry dumb @$$.
I have em' still and I watch em like a hawk, they never come off!

The more knowledgable we get the more confuse we become, simply because it's truly amazing how fact over fiction just makes some dreams turn into nightmares....
