The only way you can use your 240V Hairdryer in japan is if you are going to use a "step-down" voltage transformer. The voltage throughout Japan is 100 Volt which is different from North America (110V), Central Europe (220V) and most other world regions.

I don't know why someone claimed that Japan has a 240V supply! That's simply NOT true at all...!!!

A step-down power converter might be rather expensive - maybe it'll be cheaper to just buy a Japanese dryer when you're here? If you're staying in a hotel you might have one provided anyway.

you can use tranformer.OR the best way is ask the maker directly .it's also depends the brand maker
