He is counting his money, but think he would trade it all for that ring. (You know the one he does not have because he is playing for the sorry Cardinals)

The best analysis of James I ever heard was... what's so good about James is that he can turn a two yard loss into a four yard gain, and what's so infuriating about James is that he could turn a twenty-five yard run into a four yard gain... look, listen and learn --- it has almost nothing to do with the back and almost everything to do with the front line!!!!! Any back depends on the front to open a hole. The Colts front could open a hole that I could even get four yards with! They completely DOMINATED the Bears vaunted defense....(not to mention the Ravens' even BETTER defense) -- amazing bunch of guys that protect Manning and grant glory to whoever gets the hand-off. Ya gotta just love 'em! What about them Colts, huh????
For whatever reason, it wasn't working with the Edge. I don't know the dynamics of NFL contract proposals, but his demand is more than he's worth without a front...and he knows it...but he can demand AND get the money, and if I were him, I'd feel fine with the cash. Or with the ring.

Edgerrin James doesn't make those runs like Addai and Rhodes. He's not the back he used to be.

I don't think he should feel stupid at all. He got what he wanted, more pay from the Arizona Cardinals. If he wants a super bowl ring, then he'll take a pay cut and play for the New England Patriots.

Hahaha! Good question! I wondered the same thing! Hopefully he enjoys his new team. I honestly thought that the Cardinals would have been better than what they showed. Look at their team on paper... Oh well!
Go Colts!

As long as the Cardinals dont have an offensive line...James will not have the same success he had in Indy!

the Colts got Addai on the cheap so they are happy and James is happy with his big salary and lousy team

If he does retire without a ring, he will regret it more down the road.
