Most OB/GYNs want you to wait 3 cycles. Mainly this is to help them be more able to date your pregnancy. There are no studies that indicate it is harmful to a pregnancy to conceive the same months as stopping birth control (and on the flip side there are no studies that say that it has no effect, so odds are its fine but there is the potential of harm to the embryo.)
I am so sorry about your miscarriages. I have had a few myself and they are very hard. Has your doctor checked your progesterone levels along with your HCG levels in early pregnancy? Sometimes your progesterone can be too low to carry an otherwise healthy pregnancy and supplementing it can help.
Good luck in your TTC journey.

The birth control pill works by preventing ovulation. Once you stop taking the pill, the hormones are out of your body quickly, usually within a couple of days. When the hormones are gone your body needs to start again on its own to function. That mean it will start producing follicles again, which eventually lead you to ovulate. Everybody acts differently, some may take a couple of weeks to ovulate, other may take some months, but in general your body should be in "normal mode" within less than two to three months after stopping the pill. So if you now ovulate normally, that means your body is back to its normal rhythm.
Now, if you had problems with ovulation before you started the pill then the same issues may still be there. Some women take the pill for irregular periods and ovulation, and you cannot expect this to change once you stop the pill.

I heard that after a FULL cycle of not taking the pill but also heard that waiting at least 3 months. I was on the pill since I was 18 well, until I was 22 and my fiance and I tried but couldn't get pregnant. I later found oout like after we broke up after 3 years of trying that our bodies wouldn't allow such a thing...body cemistry. But today I have a healthy 6 year old little boy but from a different man.

I just spoke w/my Doc today about trying for another one and I'm on the pill currently.
He said that a lot of Docs will tell you to wait (use condom) for 3 months after going off the pill, but there is absolutely no medical reason why you should. I was told when you're ready, go off the pill and try, try, try!!!

I would wait 6 months, but some women actually get pregnant while on the pill, and the baby's all turned out fine. Ask your doc.

You can start right away. There's no danger. If the birth control is still in your blood stream, that just means you won't get pregnant.
