from the way I'm carrying. I am carrying quite pointy and out front. Do you think this is true or did it prove an old wives tale for you?

Yeah i was carrying the same way and had a boy. But don't trust it, you can never be too sure. When i was pregnant a few people said they were positive i was having a girl. It also varies from culture to culture.

Old wives tales hahahah

I have had girls at work grab a needle on a string to see which way it twirled, people looking at my tummy, or judging from the amount of morning sickness I have telling me what I will have either boy or girl, I have been told 50 50 to having a girl or a boy, I dont believe in those things, the only 100 percent way is seeing it once it is born, Ultrasound is also very good, but sometimes if it is a girl there is a chance you wont know until the last moment.. Patience my dear :) Best of luck with your bub

I believe Yes. It's true. Also you will look older than what your normal look is and your actions are more active than as usual like male. That's also old wives tale.
I don't have a tummy like you have it now and i am having a girl. I look younger than usual and my action become soft than normal. People say it's a girl without asking me first and it's true. My tummy is pretty round and wide spread (not pointy). So, I would say yes to your question.
My mother the other day told me not to take ultrasound so many times although whenever i go see the doc, he takes a look at the baby by ultrasound. My mother said, old days, we didn't have ultrasound and we were okay. she didn't know it cannot harm the baby so that she was just saying it. I told her that it's okay. it won't harm the baby. Anyway, Congratulations! I wanted a baby boy for my first but it didn't happen to me.I am very happy for you. BTW, now i am okay with a girl and whatever the gender is, we have to love.

I think in most cases Old wives tales are not true. I think they have 50-50 chance.
I had a baby girl last year. I was having lot of morning sickness, my skin turned dark and I was carrying out front. So everybody told me that I am going to have a baby boy.
When I delivered the baby, the doctor told me I had a girl, I could not belive my ears.
So, I would suggest you not to believe in those old wive tales.
If you are anxious then get an Ultra sound done. I hope you get a healthy cute baby.

An OLD Wives Tale: Take your wedding ring and take about 24 inches of thread and make like a pendulum. Have your husband, or friend hold it over your belly, about one or two inches above. Hold it still to begin with. This is sooooo WEIRD.....but true.....the ring will start to SWING one way, like side to side, then slow down and start up again. If it swings side to side it's one sex and when it swings back & forth it's the other sex. When it is completed the ring will go in a full CIRCLE; over and over. That means it's completed. Count how many times it swings side to side and back & forth; that's how many children you will have. I know it's really Weird, but heck, it's fun! Plus, a good party game!!!!!!

That is possible-that is how I carried my son. The best way to find out before the child is born-ultrasound. And even then, it depends on the position of the baby, if the baby wants you to know or not, and how experienced the ultrasound tech is. Congrats! Take care.

It isn't true. I was like that also, and I was so ugly that everybody said I'm going to have a boy. After 5 months, my sonogram said it was a baby girl :)

It's an old wive's tale. There's no truth to it whatsoever.
