Being "normal" is usually thought of to mean having no mental health issues (or at least only very minor ones) and be of general, good, emotional well adjustedness.

There are a range of behaviors and responses that are generally seen as being within the range of what is normal and generally mentally healthy and generally well adjusted, and then there are behaviors that are in degree that are beyond what is considered normal range.

Being normal is, I suppose, a matter of being able to live your life without a lot of trouble dealing with the bad stuff (or at least being able to process it well enough), having long-term relationships (usually), being capable of feeling happy once in a while, being able to set goals and go after them, and generally being able to function in society without having difficulties of one sort or another with just about everyone one meets.

normal is relative, when i moved from a metropolitan city to a small cow town, i was seen and still am seen as a strange person. my way of looking at things and acting on them is way outside the norm for a small town. and i was not abused as a child like most people now a days so my way of looking at life is different. so normal is relative to where u are and who u are.

All it means is to be typical. To be like most other people. That's how normal is defined in a society.

What is normal? Normal is one's perception of one's self, it is an individual being an individual. Normal a word, like crazy, fat, stupid, dumb, etc.

To be yourself instead of pretending to be something else. Although it seems like pretending has become normal.
