You are definitely in a pickle. The first thing I would do is hit ctrl alt delete and check the processes tab (assuming you are using windows xp) look for suspicious processes and google them. Most of the time your computer has an unauthorized installed program on your computer running that the hacker uses to take control. If you can identify the program, and google it, you can find instructions on what it does and how to remove it. I would only suggest this if you feel confident in your computer skills. This is the most direct way to combat the situation. If you are unsure about this you can try a few other ideas:

Download Windows Defender from Microsoft.com. This program has a feature that can show you all programs running and the author and known uses. Sometimes this can find the program that the hacker uses.

Last but not least, find a local computer store that has a specialist that can help you. Sometimes your computer can be infected with a virus that cannot be removed without a total format of the hard drive. Some computer specialists can save the majority of your files before completing a reformat.

Or, if you are comfortable with your skills, save the files you want to on a CDr or DVDr and format your hard drive. Beware that some advanced viruses are able to copy itself on to CDrs. Only do this if you have system resotre cds or an xp install cd. This can be a headache if you are not prepared for this, because you may have to find and download new drivers for your hardware after a reformat. Only system restore cds have the necessary drivers for your computer, an xp install cd will not have everything you need.

Basically, if you know what you are doing, try some of these steps. If not, find some help with a specialist.

Best of Luck!
