You are one lucky SOB-- sorry but I'm wearing contacts for mega+++ years and my soft lenses are so uncomfortable right now I'm squinting because they are so dry and I didn't put them in until 12 this afternoon so I AM JEALOUS-- BUT- side affects are- severe corneal abrasion, infection and, ugh, are you sure they aren't like glued to your eyes by now? have you at least put drops in your eyes as often as your watered your houseplants in the last 6 months? Seriously, do not try to take them out without dousing your eyes with plenty of fluid- and if you have any discomfort stop and see your eye doctor--- I am really concerned that they are glued to your eyeball--I have trouble taking mine out after 24 hours and actually scratched my cornea plenty of times trying to--- and they came out in pieces.................good luck

Yes you can wind up with nasty deposits on them that can cause an eye infection. Left untreated the infection could make it so you can never wear contacts again. Also by not taking them out when you should your eyes are being deprived of oxygen they need badly. Why risk your eyesight by being so foolish.

Oh my god! Dont do that! I saw on tv a man who wore his disposible contacts for about 6 years straight. Well when his sight started deteriating he bought another pair and put it on top of those. He did this 3 times total. He had to have surgury to remove them because they had grown into his eyeballs.

Numbers aside...every month you start off with a fresh new pair of contacts. So if you start wearing them today, on Dec. 1st, then on Jan. 1st you change to a new pair (and case). Don't forget to change your case every month!!

You're risking infection. You could get a fungal infection of the eye.

My daughter scoffed at the warnings, and now has this corneal problem that could cost her her eyesight. Don't try to figure out why they tell you to take them out more frequently than you want; JUST DO IT.
