This is what I do
Extract the juice of half an orange, lemon or tomato, mix with two teaspoons of curd. Lightly massage onto your face in an upward direction. Let it dry. Then, wash your face with cold water and wipe dry. This will give your skin a nice glow.

every night dip cotton wool in milk and cleanse ur face and neck. then apply a pack of neem powder, pudina, carrot, or atleast besan with a little turmeric. Do not discard any fruit you eat. you could apply a little pulp to ur face and massage.

neem is very good for pollution..

try crushing about 10 non-coated regular strength aspirins then adding some aloe vera gel until you have a semi thick consistency. Apply to your face and let dry. Do this at night because your skin may become reddened. You can use water as a mixture but it makes most people sneeze when it starts to dry. Test a small area to make sure your skin isn't too sensitive.

I guess there aren't really "ways" to save ourselves from pollution, but there maybe ways for us to help our body to protect and heal from pollution.
There's a lot of truth to the saying,"What you eat, becomes you," so firstly you have to be watchful of what you eat if you want glowing skin.I'm not saying that you can't eat all the normal things you eat but you'd probably need to add more fruits & vegetables in your diet as well as keeping yourself well hydrated.
Fruits such as blueberries, strawberries, cherries are all good source of antioxidant. And fruits like papaya, mangoes, pineapples, oranges, melons are all good for skin.Vegetables like broccoli, carrots, sweet potatoes, spinach, tomatoes are all good sources of wonderful multi-vitamins.So eat up!
Supplements like Zinc is also beneficial for the body and green tea is also great for skin.

For glowing skin(external remedy):

Mash strawberries, papaya, pineapple and powdered kaolin clay(from your local health-food store) into a thick paste and pour into 2 bowls.
To one,add brown sugar;mix to make an exfoliant.
Stand in the shower and gently rub this "smoothie" all over, onto dry skin in circular motions.Rinse and towel dry.

Smear the concoction from the other bowl all over your body, then wrap yourself with a plastic wrap (or use an inexpensive thin picnic plastic sheet for a mess-free full body wrap).Lie down and top with a blanket or heating pad.Relax, and rinse thoroughly after 20 mins.

**Payoff: Pineapple & papaya have exfoliating enzymes that soften your skin. The strawberry seeds & sugar are natural grainy sloughers, while clay will draw out dulling impurities.

All the best,hon! :)

For Glowing Skin

What do you need: A ripped banana, sandalwood powder and honey

Method: Mix sandalwood powder with mashed banana and honey into a thick paste.

What does it do: It works as a deep cleanser and gives natural glow to dull dry skin.

Use minimum makeup and whenever you use take care to remove it properly as soon as you come home.
Another thing that can be useful is wash your face/body everyday with a mixture of turmeric+ Masoor dal powder+lemon/ orange peel and sandalwood powder (in summer)mixed with milk or water as per your skin type. masoor Dal powder can be made at home in a mixer and is a gr8 skin cleanser. Use any leftover fruit to cleanse your face & body.

mix baking soda with water until it is a paste and pat on skin, let dry.
As for saving from pollution, use a good base makeup, say Mary Kay or Arbonne or??? You pick. Use one with a sunscreen, as sun is your worst enemy.

Take a spoon(s) and either run it under cold water for a period of time, perhaps 2-3 minutes, or freeze it overnight. In the morning, carefully place the spoon(s) underneath your eyes, where the dark circles happen to be. I have tried this once, and it DID work on me.
