Advice on the pill?? Please?

i have been on the pill now for a month and a bit and i skipped a few times so that i wouldnt have my period for my bf visit or for my bday party. is this ok to do? My friend said its ok? plus if i have take skipped a few pills do i have to take it for 7 days and then will be fine to have sex without a condom?? Any advice please

What brand are you taking? Usually, if you want to skip your period, just don't take the last week of pills in the pack (each pack has 4 weeks worth, which equals 28pills), so that means you would not take the last 7. Instead of taking that last week of pills, you will be starting a brand NEW pack. Never skip the active pills (the first 21 pills). Those are the ones that keep you from getting pregnant. If you skipped any of the active pills (which you are NOT supposed to do), you need to wait 7 days before you can have sex without a back up method (like a condom).

You cannot keep skipping pills and expect it to work. Use a condom until you have taken it continuously for at least a full month. If you want to skip your period do not skip the active pills just don't take the inactive pills aka the ones that are dummy pills. Never skip any active pills and be sure you take it at the same time every day. If you are not repsonsible enough to take the pill properly then you don't sound mature enough to be having sex.

You should look up the pill you are on by doing a search for it on the internet. You'll find your answers there. Not all pills are the same. My personal advice, and believe me I've been there, is not to trust the pill unless you have followed the instructions and taken them EXACTLY as stated. No skipping EVER. That's just from MY experience. Check on your own pills, though, really.

You should not be having sex if you are not married.
