Governing equation: F = mv^2/r

F = 6000 N
m = 1200 kg
v^2 = 20^2 = 400 (m/s)^2

solve for r

r = mv^2/F = 1200*400/6000 = 80 m

F = ma

where in this case a is the centripital acceleration

a_cent = v^2/r

6000 = (1200)(20)^2/r

r = 80m

x(t) = a million/2gt^2 t = 8 s, g = (about) 9.8 m/s^2 x(8) = 313.6 m (B) This makes some assumptions: a million. The acceleration via gravity (g) is 9.8 m/s^2 (it really varies reckoning on the position you're on earth). 2. there is no air resistance (the stone is falling in a vacuum, in reality, air resistance ought to sluggish the falling of the stone really... notwithstanding it isn't likely that the stone ought to attain terminal speed in only 8 seconds).

F = mv^2/r
r = mv^2/F
r = (1,200 kg)(400 m^2/s^2)/6,000 N
r = 80 m
