-1 station refers to the location of your baby's head. So, a 0 means the baby's head is engaged in the pelvis. A +1 means the baby's head is engaged and a little further "locked" into the pelvis. A -1 station (in your case) means the baby's head isn't totally engaged. (The scale goes froma -3 to +3.) Really, this doesn't mean much as far as your labor goes-- I was -1 station after 4 hours of labor and the baby's head decended fine into my pelvis.

70% effaced refers to how much cervix you have left-- You have 30% left.

(Ignore the comment above about being 1 cm dilated...she must have read your question wrong.)

Good luck!

-1 means your baby's head is still a little high, but closer to being engaged in the birth canal than to NOT being engaged...

Efacing refers to the softening and thinning the cervix must do before birth can happen. Imagine a donut that's got a very small or non-existant center hole. That's your cervix. It's VERY hard, to support the weight of the uterus while the baby's growing. In order for the center to open and allow the baby's head to move through, the cervix has to soften and thin out. So you're 70% of the way through that.. but the baby's head is a little high.. which is probably why you didn't mention any dilation.

You're headed in the right direction... But could still be weeks away... just hang in there.

in case you multiply the denominators you get (30)(70)(x) = 2100x multiply all the climate via 2100x 2100x/30 - 2100x/70 = 2100x/x 70x - 30x = 2100 40x = 2100 x= 2100/40 x=fifty two.5
