You are correct. The first service should be around 1000km - 1500km. After that, you can follow the manufacturers recommendations, or about every 5000km. The first one is critical, as the engine is still bedding in, and the oil gets dirty faster - usually with some metal filings as the parts wear themselves in.

Keep the gas tank topped off if the car is not being used much - this will prevent moisture from condensing on the inside of the tank and rusting the tank and petrol lines. Also, a full tank is safer - liquid gasoline doesn't burn - only the vapour. More petrol in the tank means less room for vapour. And keep the tyres pumped up, or they may become permanently out-of-round.

Good luck!

If this car gas not had it's first oil change, do it @ 3,000 k. using the best oil filter you can find. If you are in England consider this. If you experience wide outdoor temperature swings throughout the seasons try 100% synthetic engine oil for your car. It costs $23.00 dollars per. gallon here. I don't have any idea what it costs there but here are some attributes for using it. It flows more freely at low temperatures, higher detergent qualities, ADSORBS engine heat faster, synthetic "slippery" oil causes less friction and better fuel economy. Which ever oil you choose be sure it's the correct viscosity range which is issued under the specifications in the operators manual in the glove compartment. Change the air and cabin air filter at a maximum of 20,000k Fuel filter @30,000k. Add a plastic can of dry gas ( Isopropyl Alcohol) after every fifth gasoline fill up during winter months. (Keeps water contamination to a scarce minimum in gasoline tank). Keep transmission fluid change as per. specifications and antifreeze / distilled water mix changed as per. specs. Good Luck

usually oil change is done every 3000 km or every 3 months but if your not using the car at all just check the dip stick if the oil is dirty or not. you should also check the air filter every 4 months. Dont forget to check your tire pressure.The proper pressure is usually 32 psi and even if the car is not being used the tire tent to lose pressure.

you need to change your oil every 3000 miles or 90 days. If you hardly drive you should start it and let it run for half an hour oh like two or three times a week so oil stay everywhere and your battery stays charged up.

Wow, all the metric and "the kings english" has me all screwed up.
Petrol = gasoline,
bonnet = hood,
1km = approx 5/8 mile. OK, here goes...

Change the oil now and change it every 6,000 km or 6 months (metric months) thereafter. Check the air in your tyres (!) every couple of weeks.

Cheerio

You can probably follow the usual maintenance schedule if you simply start the car and let it run for 30 minutes twice a week. Let the gas run down to half a tank then fill it back up to keep moisture out of the gas.

you should change your oil right now, fully synthetic works best lasts longer, and you should change it every 3 thousand miles your car will love you and make sure you change the oil filter too, and change your spark plugs immediatly if you want to spend the extra bucks go to a autostore and ask for E3 spark plugs they are the best and the most fuel efficient buy a repair and maintence manual while you are there so you can look up what your doing...

So it just sits there. Oil in a can just sits there. 5 months later it will still be good. Same difference isn't it? It is. Heck oil normally isn't normally changed for 5000Km. It does not say when you have to have those miles driven....however, every 6 months would be good.

you need it to start and run the car if it's not run then the gas should be drained. oil depending on weather can cause a acidic substance to build in the oil and could damage the main and rod bearings, you need a repair manual to help or go to www.alldatadyi.com slect the model year pay 19 bucks and get all you need to know and more.

no problem, the oil can be changed every 5,000 miles, I had a car for 10 years doing it so, no problem, but each 5,000 miles, change every filters: oil filter, airfilter, gas filter (if this is made of plastic) not if this is made of metal, if so this lasts longer. Chanche every 45,000 miles the timing belt. good luck!
